Hey! Living here on the big island of Hawaii now, wow what an incredible last 30 days. Bought a car found a place to live, got a family of ten out here with most of my equipment, this has been an incredible landing and would have been unachievealble had I not the full support of the Great Mother and if there is one thing that I understand now it is that the Hawaiian Islands are Her domain. Don't try to plan or make mental images about what course you are trying to take because each day She decides what your course will be according to how everything feels to her.

And now that I have had a chance to experience this, all the frustration and anxiety aside, I see Her wisdom.

We are beginning a whole new phase of Terakuma Enterprises here. Instead of just artistic endeavours Maluvia and I are now preparing to lease farm land and plant Noni trees and avocadoes and papaya and coconuts. We are planning to build using recycled materials that are literally free for the taking. This place holds tremendous opportunity for the resourceful person.

Within one year newly planted Noni plants begin to bear fruit.

Anyway much has happpened over the last month, we are headed in a very positive direction with our life. Getting our children on board will be the biggest challenge yet but even then we are hopeful.

The Uranus Saturn opposition I mentioned earlier would occur in 2012 I believe I was mistaken about. It is going on as I speak here. I see that as providing the transformative dynamo needed for the transition we have made. We have taken full advantage of it all.

I feel so fortunate and blessed! We have worked it out to go to the Big Island of Hawaii! Transformative energy is so abundant right now. The election has left an aura of hope around life in this country. We are responding in a big way. I am leaving in two days and my family will follow and we will all begin a new life!

Uranus opposition Saturn in the constellations of Aries and Libra respectively is the source of a great wave of power. It seems all we've had to do is open our hearts and minds and everything has fallen into place with ease. Maluvia's dream to live in a tropical climate will soon be reality!!

I have decided to delay my work on recording and finishing my new music until I have gotten settled there. I feel the creative energy will be extremely fresh and powerful and make for some incredibly good music.

We are not at all financially well off people and are pulling this off in a very "skin-of-our-teeth" way. It is really quite uncanny and even miraculous how things fell into place. Just a few weeks ago we started considering moving there in February. Then as we began to move our energy and wills we soon found ourselves able to collapse the time into a few weeks.

It has been so long I forgot how it feels to be truly in tune with the currents of Life. We have found our course after being lost in this Cosmic Sea for quite a few years now.

It could be said that my approach to guitar is of the slack tuning kind. Just beginning to find out about the history of Hawaiian guitar music and how slack tunings are core to the development of their folk traditions. The tunings that I have used so far are not in their traditional repertoire but the general idea is the same, to create fingerstyle possibilities and creative potential simply unavailable when using standard tuning.

The harmonic limitations of standard tuning is what originally lead me to try "slack" tunings. I found like all other slack players that there are exquisitely beautiful textures of sound that come from juxtaposing strings in different consonant and dissonant intervals in non-conventional ways.

For example, right now I'm recording a piece called Mantrika Shakti that uses a DFAEAB tuning that is a seemingly infinite source of inspiration for me. I've also composed two more parts to this piece as I continue to explore the rich musical resources of this tuning.

Maluvia and I also are seriously considering moving to Hawaii now.

So on December 21, 2012 the Sun will cross the plane of the Milky Way galaxy (our own galaxy by the way) and be, in a sense, cosmically reborn. Now this has to have some profound effect on our consciousness regardless if you "believe" that the motions of celestial bodies affect human consciousness or not.

I myself choose to see it as profoundly significant to us all for it offers us an opportunity that comes only once every 26,000 years, the time period which the Mayans called the Great Year.

In my own inner research I've come to see that life on Earth is or has been in a sort of reversal in regard to human perception and consciousness for a very long time. We seem to see things and ultimately determine our own actions in compliance to a seeming commitment within ourselves to believe what is utterly antithetical to our inner sense of what is true. An obviously irresolvable conflict.

I'm talking here about the mental construct we call Western Civilization. In contradiction to our desire to experience freedom of self expression we have accepted things like government, the necessity for weapons, the seeming necessity to ravage the environment in the name of technological and economic progress, and more fundamentally, the necessity to "protect" ourselves from that which scares us.

Here I find the fundamental contradiction or reversal. We seek protection from outer sources against what we perceive as outer threats and find ourselves in situations that have become unsustainable and ludicrously expensive in how they contradict our need and desire to experience what has become the pitiful vestiges of our individual freedoms.

I see the financial crisis immediately confronting the western world as an inevitable result of the "little guy" or average American consumer acting from that place within themselves where this irresolvable conflict or reversal resides. This fundamental conflict is at the root of all the insanity we see around us. Those starving in the midst of plenty, the destruction of the rain forests, our primary source of oxygen, in order to make room for fields of corn for ethanol production! We won't be able to breathe but by god we'll be able to drive our cars to work! Fundamentalist "right to life" Christians supporting genocide!!

I haven't forgotten about the Sun crossing the galactic plane, this all connects very clearly. I'm calming down.

The whole victimized perception of ourselves that has created the "little guy" or the "American consumer" entities must go. Those entities are what we have created by insisting on being protected from what we fear by some outer "big guy" source. "They," the "big guys" don't give a shit and there is no reason why they should. Every human being does have a fundamental need to express themselves but the right to individual self expression is an opportunity that must be seized by each and every one of us and used to its fullest potential or we simply do not deserve it.

Now this is where the Sun crossing the galactic plane comes in. This is the opportunity to do just that, to seize and fully realize your right as a human being to fully and uninhibitedly express yourself above and beyond your wildest dreams and the more wild the better! Every human being has the opportunity to follow our Sun out of its cosmic womb and be reborn without the restrictions of victimized thought patterns. This is that opportunity cosmically offered to us, but I'm not contradicting myself here and imagining the Ultimate Big Guy, or Girl, up or out there watching over us making sure we get our chance even though we fucked it all up. We can see this as an evolutionary inevitability or that We in our greatest and timeless state of being Love rhythm and natural cycles and have created this opportunity for ourselves, it matters not. The fact is is that it is happening and I for one intend to make sure life on Earth will never be the same.

Working hard on finishing new music. Which in turn led to finding a way to use East West"s Stormdrum virtual instrument with my drum triggers. I feel like an idiot though because after working literally all day on what I thought was a defective drum trigger (which is indeed defective now since I "worked" on it) I found out that all I needed to do was adjust the attack on the virtual instrument interface! Duh! Oh well. I got my kit now minus a trigger that I will have to fix later. Found out what's actually under that foam rubber on the Pintech triggers though which is a mystery worth solving. A little resoldering and it will be as good as new, no big deal.

Something worth noting that I have found about using these virtual instruments and sample libraries is that you really need to have your player on a seperate drive from the samples to avoid unacceptable latency. I've got my samples on a 300 GB 10,000 RPM velociraptor and my sampler on the 10,000 RPM Raptor where the operating system resides. Works great.

I love working on music in the Fall, definitely my favorite season hands down. It has a "faraway farewell" feeling about it that is sad and joyous all at once. Guess that feeling finds its way into my music alot.

Need to do some fine tuning on my guitar sound. Now using two 24 bit 96 khz processors to simulate 192 khz A/D/A conversion of a stereo signal. Strangely enough it does make an apparent improvement in the resolution. Lots of cables running everywhere though. Speaking of which I use Zaolla cables because we have found that the quality of what connects the components of your equipment is just as important as the quality of the components themselves. Will need to remove some of the chorussing because as the resolution increases the need for the effects to achieve my objective becomes less. I have been using the chorus to put some of the natural fatness of the lower midrange back into the guitar after sampling when I was using one processor.

I'm still here making and recording music. Maluvia and I finally found a way to satisfactorily record digitally when we discovered the RME HDSP 9632 a few years ago which in turn led to acquiring Ardour, the Linux based professional multi-tracking software designed by Paul Davis. The zero latency capabilities of Ardour lets the Hammerfall be the best it can be...so, in short, we have our pro recording setup, now all we need is the music!

Fortunately, that's not a problem, I have about four cds worth of material currently in the works and aside from working 40 hours a week and getting firewood and keeping the snow cleared from the road when it falls and responding to family life in general I will find time to record the finest music I've made to date :-)

I made a new deer antler saddle this past summer from an antler my daughter found in the woods. I mean a saddle for my guitar, the little piece that fits under the strings on the bridge. I made my first deer antler saddle back in 1999 following Maluvia's suggestion that I try deer antler for the saddle since all the commercial saddles we had bought up to that point made the acoustic-electric sound of my Gibson Hummingbird sound very flat and plastic-like. We wanted the guitar to have the highest fidelity to the acoustic sound as possible. The deer antler proved to be far superior to any other material. We have achieved a line-in guitar signal very, very close to the original sound. I do not know what I would do without my beloved woman! That is only a fractional example of the support and help she has given me in her undying commitment to getting my music to the world and fulfill my dream. Never has a man on Earth been so, so lucky. The pristine, rarefied quality of the music that we publish is mostly due to her.

I've also entered into the new millenium of music making with my native instruments sampler... so yes I am finally ready, I believe, to resume recording and publishing my music.

I was looking over the upcoming astrological configurations for the next few yrears recently and discovered an interesting thing in regard to Uranus and Saturn. They will be in opposition in Aries and Libra in 2011 or 2012 which is significant for me for reasons to lengthy to go into right now.

I wanted those interested in my music and the whole world in general to know I'm back and I'm serious about getting some great things recorded.

The "bail-out" was signed to day which I think is basically the final economic nail in the coffin of the financial body of this country. Looks like WW3 is just around the corner too. Very, very intense and interesting political times we live in! By the way, Russia did not invade Georgia an Israeli-U.S. sponsored army did. Russia was just trying to protect what is theirs. The media in this country is run by the corporations trying to secure the oil in that region of the world and they will do anything to get it unfortunately :-(

The world bank-backed U.S. is no longer a respected economic power in the world and I hope the rest of the world will follow Venezuela's example and follow their own sovereign economic path.

I need to clear up a misunderstanding regarding my name. I am an individual who is a recording artist, my name is Dzyan. I released one album titled Iludhra on the Terakuma label in May of 1999. This is my only published album to date as a recording artist. After I began my internet presence back in 1997 with www.dzyan.com I became aware that back in the early seventies a German progressive rock band had released two or three albums using the name Dzyan. I need to clarify at this time that I have no past or present association of any kind with that band and I have never listened to their music nor was I aware they even existed prior to 1997.

Some who have heard my music and discuss it on their blogs and such have been mistaken and thought that these two Dzyans were one and the same. Just wanted to make it clear that this is not the case.

I do want to thank everyone very much who has heard my music and thought it worth a mention in their blogs.

Consciousness itself is limitless in essence yet it must be limited to express. As soon as we choose a word for our thoughts we have masssively limited the possibilities of communication. However, this is as good as it gets on this planet since most humans aren't aware they are very naturally telepathic. We are all controlled by fear. Fear is the great enemy of consciousness not words. We as humans have a responsibility to express our full potential as energy manipulating, creative beings. None of us really are doing that, we are to overwhelmed by the terror of individual existence. So we must relate and communicate to help one another. The internet is a good tool for that.

Money is the primary manifestation of our avoidance of responsibility. Most people think of money as symbolizing responsibility- it does but making money is a response to that which offers us freedom from responsibility to our true selves. In other words, what we have to do to "make money" is the antithesis to what any self-respecting human being truly wants in their eternal search for freedom from the terror of individual existence. We are always and unequivocallly diverting ourselves from what we truly need to deal with to experience fulfillment when we are making or spending money. Consumerism is the most addictive and destructive drug of all. It allows the temporary alleviation of our terror.

We must deal with the terror of being powerful, creative, cosmic beings before we can actually realize ourselves. So we must communicate and help each other.

There are thousands of beautiful languages on Earth that is why I have turned to music as my vehicle of communication- because it is universal and cuts to the chase. It is the only language capable of truly communicating feelings directly without judgement. Which brings us to the second greatest enemy of consciousness.
